Exhibition on Confucian scholar's calendar

A calendar on which Ryu Seong-ryong (1542-1607), a high-ranking official and a Confucian scholar of the 1392-1910 Joseon Dynasty, is believed to have kept a diary is displayed during a media showcase at the National Palace Museum in Seoul on Nov. 24, 2022. In the calendar retrieved from Japan, Ryu gave an account of the last moment of Adm. Yi Sun-sin who was shot to death in 1598, when Yi led the Korean Navy's final battle against Japanese invaders.
