Preparing for holiday
Foreign-born women married to Korean men show "songpyeon," a half-moon-shaped stuffed rice cake, during a program to learn about how to make them in the southeastern port city of Busan on Sept. 23, 2025, ahead of Chuseok, the Korean harvest holiday that falls on Oct. 6 this year and is part of a seven-day break. Songpyeon is used as one of the major offerings for a Chuseok ritual to pay tribute to ancestors. (Yonhap)
