Objection to revision to legal cap on weekly work hours
Kim Dong-myung, chief of South Korea's Federation of Korean Trade Unions, speaks during a rally in front of the National Assembly in Seoul on March 16, 2023, to express its objection to the government's proposal for a revision allowing the legal cap on weekly work hours to be raised to 69 hours from 52 hours. The proposed revision carries a condition that the total work hours in a month or longer periods do not exceed the limit in the current 52-hour workweek system. (Yonhap)
