Students studying in South Korea have their hair washed with water boiled with iris leaves during an event at Yeungnam University in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province, southeastern South Korea, on June 20, 2023, to celebrate the traditional Korean holiday "Dano," or the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar that will fall on June 22. Washing hair in iris water is one of the main Dano rituals, believed to add shine to the hair. (Yonhap)
