KOFIA chief to attend int'l securities body gathering in India
SEOUL, March 9 (Yonhap) -- The chief of the Korea Financial Investment Association (KOFIA) plans to attend a general meeting of the International Council of Securities Associations (ICSA) in India this week, the association said Monday.
Whang Song-youp, the chairman of KOFIA, is expected to promote the local capital market and forge cooperation with global institutional investors during the two-day event under way in Delhi that began Monday, according to the association.
The ICSA is a global organization representing securities industry associations and firms across Asia, Europe and the Americas, comprising 20 financial institutions from 18 countries.
