Admission fees for 65 Buddhist temples to be scrapped

Choi Eung-chon (L), head of the Cultural Heritage Administration, and Ven. Jinwoo, chief of the Jogye Order, South Korea's largest Buddhist sect, join their palms together as they attend a ceremony at the Buddhist sect's headquarters in Seoul on May 1, 2023, to sign a pact that calls for admission fees for 65 Buddhist temples affiliated with the sect around the country to be scrapped starting this week.
