Truckers' strike
Substitute drivers move finished cars individually toward a yard at a plant of Kia Corp. in the southwestern city of Gwangju on Nov. 29, 2022, due to the stoppage of car carrier trailer services caused by a nationwide strike by unionized truckers that has disrupted supply chains across the cement and steel industries. Truck drivers went on strike on Nov. 24, demanding the government extend temporary rules guaranteeing minimum freight rates, citing high fuel prices. (Yonhap)
