PM attends ceremony to mark 1960 pro-democracy movement

Prime Minister Han Duck-soo speaks during a ceremony in the central city of Daejeon on March 8, 2023, to mark the 63rd anniversary of a 1960 pro-democracy demonstration in the city. Led by high school students in Daejeon, the pro-democracy demonstration added fuel to mounting public protests against the dictatorial regime of then President Rhee Syng-man. A nationwide protest took place on April 19, 1960, forcing the president to step down. (Yonhap)
