Summons of ex-defense minister
Former Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup (R) appears at the office of special counsel Lee Myeong-hyeon's team in Seoul on Sept. 30, 2025, to be questioned as a suspect over a series of allegations surrounding the death of a Marine, Chae Su-geun, in July 2023. Lee is accused of leaving the country last year to avoid an investigation by anti-corruption investigators. (Yonhap)
