Visibly malnourished lion relocated to new zoo

This photo taken July 5, 2023, shows a 20-year-old male lion at a zoo in the central city of Cheongju, after it was transported from a financially distressed zoo in Gimhae, southeastern South Korea. The Gimhae zoo operator decided to send the visibly malnourished lion to Cheongju, wishing that he would spend the rest of his life in a better environment. (Yonhap)
