DAEGU, Feb. 27 (Yonhap) -- The “2022 Daegu International Textile Fair” (Preview in Daegu) will open on March 2~4 at Daegu Exco.
At the fair, which marks its 20th anniversary this year, 209 domestic and foreign textile companies will participate with 483 booths, according to the city of Daegu, Sunday.
The keyword for this fair will be ‘convergence’ and ‘environmentally friendly.”
Companies related to yarn, textiles, and finished products such as Hyosung TnC, Coreshtech, Keonbaek, and IGS.F will jointly introduce recycled polyester, nylon, spandex, biodegradable PLA (polylactic acid), carbon and graphene fibers, and propose various fusion and composite materials.
The event, which will open ahead of the post-COVID-19 era, will be held online and offline.
The online platform exhibition (PID ONLINE SOURCING) opened in advance on Feb. 21 and is showing more than 2,800 new materials.
An official from the city of Daegu said, "We expect this event to serve as a stepping stone for a major shift in the local textile industry for sustainable growth."
