SEOUL, Apr. 8 (Yonhap) -- “All the different characters in the series felt precious. You will enjoy and sympathize with various stories in the drama.”
Actor Lee Min-ki, from JTBC’s new Saturday-Sunday drama “My Liberation Notes,” showed confidence in his new work at an online production press conference, held on Friday.
Lee plays the second son Yeom Chang-hee of the three siblings who live in a virtual village Sanpo. The actor introduced his role by saying, “An ordinary person who is very pure and clear.”
“My Liberation Notes” portrays the life of three siblings who live in a quiet village Sanpo and a stranger Mr. Goo (Son Suk-ku), who suddenly appears in the area.
Actress Lee El, who plays the first daughter Yeom Ki-jung shared her affection for the series and said, “The drama shows the scenery and daily life of a family in Sanpo,” adding, “It is a drama that suits the word healing.”
Kim Ji-won, who plays the youngest daughter Yeom Mi-jung with a quiet personality, said, “She is a character that lives a colorless life but has a strong spark,” adding, “Mi-jung resembles me in that she thinks alone about emotions that others can just pass by. However, she seems to have more courage.”
Actor Son Suk-ku who plays the mysterious character Mr. Goo shared, “While filming the drama I’ve realized there are many people who want to have hope, but cannot,” adding, “This drama will not present an answer but liberate those viewers.”
Director Kim Seok-yoon, who produced the series said, “It is a drama about growth and a story of people who hope for happiness.”
Director Kim, who reunited with writer Park Hae-young, who created “My Mister” (2018) and “Another Miss Oh” (2016), said, “Not even one episode was easy to direct, but I’ve never disliked any script,” adding, “There are lines that I noticeably like, and there are some that came deep when I thought about them."
The first episode will be revealed on April 9 at 10:30 p.m.
