SEOUL, Mar. 15 (Yonhap) -- YG Entertainment and Korean Air have announced on Wednesday that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish a strategic partnership at the Korean Air headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.

The signing ceremony was attended by Hwang Bo-kyung, co-chairman of YG Entertainment, Vice President of Performance Business Group Jung Ki-young, and Jang Sung-hyun, vice president of marketing and IT at Korean Air.

As part of the business agreement, the two companies are to provide a special welcome video featuring BLACKPINK on board Korean Air.

In addition, Korean Air will participate as an official sponsor of the ongoing BLACKPINK World Tour.

Korean Air will provide discount tickets and provide additional luggage free of charge for artists and staff participating in the BLACKPINK World Tour until August this year.

YG Entertainment plans to provide Korean Air Sky Pass members with tickets for promotional performances, signed CDs, and posters.

Jang Sung-hyun, vice president of Korean Air, said, "Although the aviation industry and entertainment sectors are different, we expect Korean Air's solid global network and YG's accumulated K-pop content to be used as strengths to create synergy."
