8 WJSN members renew exclusive contracts with Starship Entertainment

SEOUL, Mar. 3 (Yonhap) -- Eight members of 13-piece girl group WJSN have renewed their contracts with Starship Entertainment, according to the agency on Friday.

Eight members who will continue their music careers as a part of WJSN will be Exy, Seol-A, Bona, Soobin, Eunseo, Yeoreum, Dayoung, and Yeong-jung.

In an official statement, the agency shared that Luda and Dawon have decided to end their exclusive contract after carrying out sincere and in-depth discussions with the agency. In addition, as for the three Chinese members Xuan Yi, Cheng Xiao, and Mei Qi who have not been participating in WJSN’s activities for years, the agency confirmed that their contracts as WJSN have automatically come to an end.

Starship Entertainment said, “For the members who we renewed contracts with based on our loyalty and faith for each other, we promise to put our utmost effort into WJSN’s activities and for them to shine even brighter in future activities.”

WJSN, also known as Cosmic Girls, made a debut in 2016, jointly produced by the Korean agency Starship Entertainment and the Chinese agency Yuehua Entertainment.
