SEOUL, Mar. 21 (Yonhap) -- The World K-pop Center and the Korea Import Association will hold a festival under the name of “Global K-Culture Seoul Festa,” welcoming honorable foreign ambassadors and families, at 5 p.m. on Thursday at Seoul’s World K-pop Center Glass Hall.
The event will invite foreign ambassadors from 70 countries worldwide, as well as their families and related officials, to showcase and communicate about K-pop performances. It has been organized to also promote the hosting of the 2030 World Expo in Busan as well as to hold thumbs for the continued development of Korea’s cultural industry.
The event will also feature performances of Korean celebrities, including the South Korean girl group Tri.be, singer Il-min, Korean traditional musician Yang Seul-ki, and B-boy crew HonorBreakerz.
“There will also be a special K-pop stage featuring children of foreign ambassadors from countries including Turkey, Belarus, and Turkmenistan, who received K-pop training every week at the World K-pop Center,” said the World K-pop Center. “The stage will add even more significance to our Festival as it will bring all countries together with K-pop in the center.”
The World K-pop Center stands as a K-pop educational institution that is also known to host girl group auditions “Click the Star.”
