SEOUL, Oct. 15 (Yonhap) -- The 2021 Seoul Gugak Music Festival will be held online for two days between Oct. 16-17.
This year's festival, which marks its third anniversary, will present a variety of programs that encompass various music genres, from traditional Korean music to fusion 'Gugak' by reinterpreting traditional music in a modern way.
On Saturday, the Gugak music concert will be held at 7 p.m. while the main performance will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, including stage performances prepared by Choi Kyung-man.
The performances can be viewed for free on the Seoul Gugak Music Festival's YouTube and Naver TV channels.
"We decided to hold an online event so that audiences can safely enjoy the festival at home due to social distancing regulations, consideration of the prolonged social distance," the Seoul Metropolitan Government said Friday.
