The 2022 World Food Festival has begun on Saturday at Dongsang Market in Gimhae.
The festival is taking place this year after winning in a competition to foster a Gyeongnam specialized market by Gyeongnam Province.
More than 20,000 foreigners from 70 different countries and Koreans with foreign citizenship live in Gimhae.
Among the 18 local governments in Gyeongnam, it has the most number of foreigners.
Dongsang county in Gimhae is where foreign restaurants and stores for foreigners, centered around Dongsang Market, are concentrated.

The Dongsang Market and the Dongsang Market Youth Mall will exchange 5,000 won worth of Onnuri gift cards for shopping receipts to customers who purchase more than 20,000 won on the day of the festival.
