SEOUL, Nov. 6 (Yonhap) -- KCM, marking his 20th anniversary in the music industry, is set to release his latest single, It’s Not Weird to Die, at 6 p.m. on October 6 through various online music platforms.

Following Not in the Forecast, which debuted in June, It’s Not Weird to Die is the second installment in KCM’s series of breakup-themed songs. Celebrating his milestone year, KCM reinvents the timeless appeal of early-2000s ballads with his unique, matured musical style.

KCM took part in writing and composing the song, as well as in production, infusing the track with the expertise he has honed over two decades. The song combines a powerful orchestral arrangement with expressive storytelling, capturing the complex emotions of love lost, echoing the delicate mood of early winter.

With lyrics depicting the heartache of parting, the song’s string arrangements deliver KCM's signature vocal highs, evoking a sense of tender melancholy. This fusion of orchestration and poignant lyrics amplifies the song’s emotive depth, making it feel like a beautifully crafted epic poem.

Directed by Lee Dong-hwi and produced by Nam Ki-chul, the music video complements the song’s somber tone, encapsulating KCM’s signature style in portraying the desolation of parting.

Through It’s Not Weird to Die, KCM conveys a profound sense of love beyond despair, aiming to offer empathy and solace to those bracing for the long, cold winter. Following today’s release, KCM is also expected to connect with fans at year-end concerts.
