Seoul November 14 (Yonhap) -- “I would love to be an artist who brings energy and happiness to those who listen to my music.” addressed Oh My Girl’s Yooa during media showcase of her second solo mini album “Selfish” held at YES 24 hall in Seoul on Monday.
“I am proud of myself and thankful that I have an opportunity to show the uniqueness YooA as an individual artist possesses.” addressed YooA during the media showcase.
Release of YooA’s second solo album “Selfish” is artist’s first musical released in two years since she released her first solo debut album “Bon Voyage.” Within her second solo mini album “Selfish” artist included total of four tracks starting with her title track “Selfish,” followed by “Lay Low,” “Blood Moon,” and “Melody.”
YooA who portrayed fairy of the forest throughout her solo debut album “Bon Voyage” transformed herself into an urban character who is confident in her love.
The title track “Selfish” which is a Rhythm and Blues track includes straight forward message to the lover to make his move with confidence.
“Title track came to me like it was already destined for me record. I wanted to train myself to a point where I can fully perform this track in front of my loving fans.” addressed YooA during her media showcase for her second solo mini album “Selfish.”
Out of four of the tracks included within her second solo mini album “Selfish” YooA picked “Blood Moon” which is a pop genre of music with underlying meaning of lovers who whisper love to one another under the blood moon to be her favorite track.
“I love singing with low tone, and the track ‘Blood Moon’ captures the wonders of my low tone.” YooA described throughout the media showcase.
Continuing on YooA addressed “Since this is my comeback as a solo artist with second solo mini album I had to deal with certain amount of pressure,” adding “However, I tried my best to show the best of me.”
“I believe that it the good outcome will follow, and I am confident in my belief.” artist chuckled during the media showcase.
Group Oh My Girl, YooA is included in debuted with their track “Cupid” in 2015 and continued on with their success through “Dolphin,” “Dun Dun Dance” and more.
K-pop girl group Oh My Girl is currently active with six of the members, Arin, Yubin, YooA, Hyojung, Mimi and Seunghee after Jiho left the group on May of 2022.
