SEOUL, August 17 (Yonhap) --The popular drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" is being made into a musical.

EMK Musical Company announced on Wednesday that it had signed a business agreement with AIMC, a subsidiary company of ASTORY, to produce a musical based on the drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."

The musical "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" plans to stage three of the episodes while maintaining the original characters. It aims to be held by the beginning of 2024.

"'Woo Young-woo' has episodes with a high degree of perfection from episode to episode, and as it will be able to be elaborated through the stage, that sounded very attractive," said Eom hong hyeon, CEO of EMK Musical Co.

"We will do our best to create new K-contents that are loved worldwide as well as creating Korean original musicals along with EMK," said Lee Sang-Baek, the CEO of ASTORY.
