SEOUL, June 20 (Yonhap) -- KATSEYE, the Korean-American joint girl group under HYBE, released their new single "Gabriela" on Friday.

According to HYBE Labels, "Gabriela" blends sleek pop sounds with the emotional warmth of Latin acoustic guitar. The members deliver witty lyrics expressing ambivalent feelings and curiosity toward a captivating figure who appears before a lover.

Daniela’s Spanish-language verse is a standout moment in the song, heightening its emotional depth and highlighting the group’s identity as a global act.

The track was co-produced by Grammy-winning producers Andrew Watt and John Ryan, with contributions from renowned songwriter Ali Tamposi and others.

The "Gabriela" music video reimagines the Latin cultural staple telenovela, known for its melodramatic storytelling. In the video, the six members portray jealousy and conflict in a dramatic, high-energy performance. Hollywood actress Jessica Alba makes a special appearance in the video.

KATSEYE previously gained attention with their debut track "Gnarly", which charted on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100, marking a strong entrance into the global music scene.

The group is set to release their second mini-album "BEAUTIFUL CHAOS" on June 27.
