SEOUL, May 20 (Yonhap) -- American producer and singer-songwriter JVKE will hold his first concert in South Korea on Aug. 21 at Olympic Hall in Seoul's Olympic Park, concert organizer Private Curve said Tuesday.

JVKE gained recognition in 2020 with his debut single “Upside Down,” which garnered more than 14 million plays on TikTok and further expanded his popularity through a remix version featuring Charlie Puth.

In 2022, he rose to global prominence with “golden hour,” the lead single from his full-length album, which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track has racked up over 1.3 billion streams on Spotify and its music video has surpassed 260 million views on YouTube.

Known for his refined and emotional melodies, JVKE is well recognized among Korean fans, especially for "golden hour." He also collaborated with BTS member Jimin on the soundtrack “Angel Pt. 1” for the 2023 action film “Fast X.”
