SEOUL, Apr. 19 (Yonhap) – The French film starring S. Korean actors Kim Sun-young and Oh Kwang-rok was belatedly known to have been invited to the 75th Cannes Film Festival, which will be held next month.
According to Oh’s agency IHQ, the movie “ALL THE PEOPLE I'LL NEVER BE,” directed by the Cambodian-French filmmaker Davy Chou, has entered the “Un Certain Regard” section of the Cannes Film Festival.
The film depicts the process of Freddie(Park Ji-min), the headstrong young woman in her twenties who was adopted and raised in France, returning to her home country, Korea, and looking for her biological parents.
Oh Kwang-rok plays Freddie’s biological father, and Kim Sun-young and Heo Jin also appeared in the movie. Park Ji-min, who played the lead, is an amateur actress who was born in Korea and immigrated to France a long time ago.
The actor said through the agency, “It’s such an honor to participate in the Cannes Film Festival where people in the cinema industry gather from all over the world.”
Oh will participate in the film festival held in Cannes, France, on Apr. 17(KST).
