Daesung drops new Japanese single 'Umbrella'

SEOUL, Aug. 27 (Yonhap) -- Daesung released his new Japanese single "Umbrella" at midnight Tuesday, his agency RND Company said.

The track was first unveiled during his concert in Japan last December, and Daesung took part in writing the lyrics.

"I hope this song will serve as an umbrella for fans, helping them overcome worries and fears," the singer said. 

He is set to perform in Yokohama, Japan, on Aug. 30 and in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on Sept. 20.
