GFriend Reunites After 4 Years, Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Hit Songs

SEOUL, Dec. 13 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group GFriend has reunited and gained renewed popularity with a performance video featuring their past hits, celebrating their 10th debut anniversary. 

 

GFriend debuted in 2015 and disbanded in 2021. But they announced their comeback recently, delighting fans worldwide. 

 

A "Killing Voice" video released by Dingo Music on YouTube on Dec. 10 quickly rose to the top of trending videos the following day. As of noon on Dec. 13, the video has garnered over 2.95 million views.

 

The video is trending not only in South Korea but also in Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, demonstrating GFriend’s international appeal.

 

In the video, GFriend performed 15 of their most iconic songs, starting with their 2015 debut track Glass Bead, followed by hits like Me Gustas Tu and Navillera.

 

The group is set to perform at the 39th Golden Disc Awards, which will be held at the PayPay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan, on January 5.

 

They will pre-release a new song on January 6, followed by a special album titled "Season of Memories" on Jan. 13.

 

On Jan. 18-19, GFriend will hold their 10th Anniversary Season of Memories concert in Songpa-gu, Seoul, marking a significant milestone in their career and reconnecting with fans.
