SEOUL, July 16 (Yonhap) -- "It may sound unfair to my real younger brother, but I've spent more time with the younger members of MONSTA X than with him. I truly think of the members as real brothers and family." (Minhyuk)
K-pop boy group MONSTA X, celebrating their 10th debut anniversary this year, credited their brother-like teamwork as the secret behind their longevity.
At a press conference held in Yeouido, Seoul, on Wednesday to mark the milestone, the group said, "We know each other so well that we can even guess what the others will wear the next day. Above all, our love and passion for music have brought us this far."

Since debuting in 2015 with their first EP "Trespass," MONSTA X has captivated fans with their masculine performances and hit songs such as "Dramarama" and "Shoot Out."
After entering a hiatus in 2021 as leader Shownu began his military service, other members followed suit. The group announced their return to full-team activities this past May.
"Compared to before the hiatus, the members have become more mature and sexy in appearance," said Hyungwon. "But their enthusiasm during practice and the way we joke around remain unchanged, which really surprised me."

Reunited as a full group, MONSTA X is set to hold a 10th anniversary concert titled "MONSTA X CONNECT X" at KSPO Dome in Seoul’s Olympic Park from July 18 to 20.
This will mark their first concert in three years since the 2022 "NO LIMIT" tour. The members plan to present performances that look back on their decade with fans.
"We focused more on what kind of stage our fans would want to see rather than what we personally wanted to do," said Hyungwon. "We chose the setlist based on the idea that it should represent MONSTA X’s 10 years."
Shownu added, "I believe the moment we’re together on stage as a full group will mean a lot to our fans. I want to do my best at every moment and show the best version of ourselves."
During the event, MONSTA X also revealed they are preparing for a comeback in early September. The group has finished recording and is currently preparing for the album release.
"We had a lot of title track candidates, and they were all good enough to be included as B-side tracks," said Jooheon. "This album will meet both what the public wants and what the members want."

Looking back on the past 10 years, the members shared some of their most memorable moments.
"I clearly remember performing 'Trespass' during our first music show appearance," said Kihyun. "I was kneeling down and the steel bars in front of me were rising. I can still picture it vividly with my eyes closed. That moment will stay with me forever as an artist."
Minhyuk said, "I remember big stages, of course, but I especially recall the mini fan meetings we had at a park right after our early music show appearances. Sitting on the ground and chatting up close with fans is a very special memory."

Above all, the members expressed deep gratitude to MONBEBE, their fandom, for the unwavering support. They vowed to return that love with their upcoming performances and activities.
"When we first debuted, the idea of a 10th anniversary felt vague and far off. But now that it's actually here, it's hard to believe," said I.M. "The more time passes, the more grateful I feel toward our fans."
