SEOUL, Dec. 19 (Yonhap) -- K-pop singer KyoungSeo is set to release a remake of Park Ki-young's iconic song "Start" today at 6 p.m.
Originally featured as the title track of Park Ki-young's second studio album in 1999, "Start" has been reimagined with KyoungSeo's unique voice and artistic sensibility. Through this rendition, KyoungSeo pays homage to the original while adding her distinct interpretation, evoking nostalgia and delivering a fresh emotional resonance to listeners.
KyoungSeo's version adopts a band-style arrangement, blending the reggae rhythm and dynamic rock sound of the original with a modern twist. The song encapsulates the tender and exciting confession of youthful love, perfectly aligning with its title, "Start." KyoungSeo’s delicate yet contemporary vocal style bridges the past and present, offering a distinctive musical experience.
KyoungSeo and Park Ki-young previously formed a connection through their appearance on SBS’s variety show Kick a Goal. Recently, a special duet clip of the two singing "Start" was released on KyoungSeo’s official YouTube channel, garnering positive reactions from fans.
On the release, KyoungSeo shared, “I decided to release this track to mark the beginning of happiness for my fans.”
