Ho-Am Art Museum to re-open next April with 'Retrospective exhibition of Kim Whanki'

SEOUL, Dec. 12 (Yonhap) -- After finishing renovation, Ho-Am Art Museum is re-opening next April with Kim Whanki's huge-scaled retrospective exhibition.

According to Samsung Foundation of Culture on Monday, Ho-Am Art Museum, which usually displayed ancient and modern arts, plans to hold various exhibition to communicate with the public and become a main exhibition area for arts after renovation.

Ho-Am Art Museum has been under construction since last Dec.

Kim Whanki's retrospective exhition will display around 90 works and datas that focus on his works in 1930s to early 1960s, a semiabstract era, which received less attention from the public.

Meanwhile, Leeum Museum of Art, starting with Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan's first solo exhibition in Korea next year, is also preparing forJoseon White Porcelian exhibtion and solo exhibitions of Kim Beom and Suki Seokyeong Kang.
