SEOUL, March 13 (Yonhap) -- Lotte Department Store said on Friday that it will open a pop-up store featuring the globally popular K-character brand “ZO&FRIENDS.”

ZO&FRIENDS is a character intellectual property created jointly by IPX and K-pop star G-Dragon. Since its first unveiling in July last year, it has rapidly gained popularity and is emerging as a global character IP.

The retailer will run the “ZO&FRIENDS LUCKY SHOP” pop-up store from March 12 to 22 at the atrium on the first floor of Lotte World Mall.

The pop-up will offer merchandise featuring the characters from the ZO&FRIENDS universe, including ZOA, a seemingly aloof yet gentle cloud cat that always moves in slow motion; A&NE, a lovable but meddlesome daisy; and AKI and ZAKI, mischievous color droplets born from ZOA’s cloud footprints.

The event will also feature interactive elements such as photo zones and special events.

Entry on the opening day will be limited to customers who have made advance reservations, while visitors will be able to enter through on-site reservations starting March 13.

A Lotte Department Store official said the “ZO&FRIENDS LUCKY SHOP” pop-up will attract not only character enthusiasts but also foreign tourists visiting Korea, adding that the company plans to continue introducing a variety of global IP pop-ups in the future.
