SEOUL, Aug. 27 (Yonhap) -- K-pop Singer Wax will release a remake of her 2002 hit "Please" at 6 p.m. Wednesday, 23 years after the original, her agency Funhan Entertainment said.

The track, first featured on her third album, became popular for its candid lyrics offering a unique perspective on breakup.

"Revisiting 'Please' after 23 years feels completely new," Wax said. "Back then, I simply sang the lyrics, but now I can truly understand them on a deeper level. The message that you only come to truly know someone after parting resonates with me even more."

The release is part of her "RE:WAX" project, which revisits and reinterprets the singer’s most representative works.
