SEOUL, Nov. 4 (Yonhap) -- Dowoon, drummer of the band DAY6, has donated 100 million won (US$72,000) to Samsung Medical Center to help fund treatment for pediatric and adolescent patients, his agency JYP Entertainment said Tuesday.

The donation, made on Oct. 31, will be used to support surgeries and transplants for young patients in need.

Dowoon said, “Thanks to all the love and support I’ve received, I was able to take part in this act of sharing. I’ll continue to express my gratitude by striving to have a positive impact.”

Marking his 10th debut anniversary this year, Dowoon will join his bandmates as DAY6 holds a special concert, “The Present,” at the KSPO Dome in Seoul from Dec. 19 to 21.
