SEOUL, April 22 (Yonhap) -- Korea Railroad (KORAIL) announced on the 22nd that it will be reopening the Railroad Museum, located in Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi province from the 23rd as all the social distancing rules has been lifted in South Korea.

The railroad Museum has been closed due to COVID-19 for some time, but since the 11th, it has been operated with a reservation system for up to 300 people per day. The museum has a collection of 12,600 railroad related relics, including four vehicles that were newly designated as a Cultural Heritage by the Cultural Heritage Administration on the 7th.

The railroad vehicles that has recently been designated as a Cultural Heritage of early modern times include the "Narrow Gauge Diesel Vehicle No.163" and "Narrow Gauge Car No. 18011" which used to run the now-closed Suin Line Narrow Gauge Railroad (Suwon-Incheon) and Suwon-Yeoju Line Railroad (Suwon-Yeoju).

The structure of the Anchuncheon bridge, recently donated by the Korea National Railway, was installed during the construction of the Gyeongin-line in 1906 and the traces of the Korean War can also be seen as it has been operating for 100 years.
