SEOUL, August 12 (Yonhap) -- Mayor of Asan city within south Chuncheong province, awarded director Kim Han-min with appreciation plaque for his work on movies about Admiral Yi, announced the Asan government on Friday.
Mayor of Asan, Park Gyeong-gwi awarded an appreciation plaque during the special viewing event held at Lotte Cinema located in Asan Express Bus Terminal, to thank director Kim Han-min for helping out with the advertisement of the city Asan, also known as the hometown of admiral Yi.
South Korean block buster received positive feedback by capturing one of the worlds four well known navel battle, the battle of Hansan Island and the characteristics of a wise admiral Yi spotlessly.
While awarding director Kim Han-min with the appreciation plaque, Mayor Park Gyeong-gwi stated “We hope that director Kim Han-min will help out Asan City to become a culturally enriched city using contents of admiral Yi.”
