SEOUL, November 3 (Yonhap) -- The first Yeongdo Coffee Festival will be held at Amir Park (National Maritime Museum of Korea), in Yeongdo-gu, Busan, starting from November 4 until November 6.
This festival, held under the theme "Yeongdo, Stained by Coffee," is a festival held by the Busan Techno Park smart marine technology team in collaboration with the "Korea and Middle America coffee cooperation business."
"Korea and Middle America Coffee Cooperation Business" is one of the businesses held by CABEI (Central American Bank for Economic Integration) as part of the Korea and Middle America Cooperation for the Economic Activation between the two countries.
The festival will support the import of specialty coffees produced by member states of the Middle America Trade Association to Korea.
People will participate in the Global Yeongdo Coffee Festival with the income made from this and participate in programs such as exhibitions, business exchange meetings, seminars, and coffee schools.
11 exporter businesses from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, and Nicaragua will participate in the festival.
The participants will not only introduce their Middle American specialty coffees but also the cultures of their countries.
A hand-drip performance will be held for the opening ceremony of the festival, and an advertising hall for specialties, machines, coffee ingredients, desserts, and more will be provided.
Coffee-related experience Events such as roasting and hand drip will also be operated along with the coffee-cupping contest.
