SEOUL, June 19 (Yonhap) -- Indie label MPMG Music announced on Thursday that it will hold the music festival "VISION BANGKOK" on September 13 at Halls 2 and 3 of LIDO CONNECT in Bangkok, Thailand.

"VISION BANGKOK" is part of the "VISION Series," a project that promotes collaborative music festivals through exchanges between domestic and international labels and artists. The first edition was held last year and featured indie musicians from both Korea and Thailand.

Following the debut of "VISION BANGKOK," Korean band Lacuna and Thai act Television Off released the collaborative single "Do You?" Bands SURL and Thailand’s QLER also joined forces to unveil tracks like "Humming For Sunset" and "I Just Wanna Make You Mine."

MPMG Music described the event as “a strategic step beyond one-off performances toward the global expansion of the music business,” adding that they have worked with local brands to produce official merchandise and set up artist event booths to attract international fans through various initiatives.

They also noted, “Thailand has rapidly developed its digital music market over the past few years and now holds a key position within the Asian music industry,” and added that there is growing anticipation for the kinds of collaborations that will emerge this year.

The artist lineup for "VISION BANGKOK" will be revealed progressively in the coming weeks.
