SEOUL,
Feb. 20 (Yonhap) --
The group on Friday released detailed reservation information via fan platform Weverse for "BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG," scheduled for 8 p.m. on March 21 at Gwanghwamun Square.
According to the notice, free tickets will be available starting at 8 p.m. on Monday through NOL Ticket.
Available seats include standing spots on the far right side facing the main stage and reserved seats extending back toward the statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin. Standing spots surrounding the extended stage will be offered to 2,000 fans selected from among those who preordered BTS’ fifth full-length album "Arirang" and applied for the event.
The total number of standing and reserved seats combined will amount to around 15,000. Reservations will be limited to one ticket per person, with booking fees to be paid separately.
Organizers noted that some reserved-seat areas may have partially obstructed views due to stage production equipment and safety structures. Audience members in those sections will be able to watch the performance on large on-site screens.
The free concert will be held a day after the release of the group’s fifth studio album.
BTS is considering starting the performance route inside Gyeongbokgung, passing through Gwanghwamun Gate and its Woldae platform before performing on a stage installed at the northern end of Gwanghwamun Square. The group plans to present various performances, including new songs, for about an hour.
Traffic around the square will be controlled on the day of the event for safety and smooth operations, and nearby subway trains may pass stations without stopping depending on congestion levels. Fans unable to attend in person will be able to watch the concert on Netflix.
Police estimate that up to 230,000 people could gather as far as Deoksugung’s Daehan Gate and up to 260,000 as far as Sungnyemun. Organizers are also discussing installing large screens near Seoul Plaza to accommodate additional viewers.
