SEOUL, September 6 (Yonhap) -- President of Korea Foundation, also known as KF, Lee Geun announced on Tuesday that KF is planning on releasing “Wrap Around The World” created by South Korean artists in celebration of the 90th birthday of worldly famous media artist Paik Nam-june starting on September 9, .
Under the theme of “Wrap Around The World” 5 of the artists starting with DJ Jinwook, Leenalchi, sound artist Jung Jin-hwa, and more have participated in the project.
The upcoming YouTube series is motivated by artist Paik Nam June’s work created in 1988 “Wrap Around the World” in time for the Seoul Olympics which encompasses the meaning of global unity and the communication of piece.
Total of 5 different YouTube videos such as “Wrap Around The World,” “VR Garden,” “Letter from the East” and more will be released through the official YouTube channel of Korea Foundation, delivering the message of world peace through space and time continuum.
Artists will be adding their own personal twist to Paik Nam-june’s “the History and memories of World War 2 in Pacific,” “Video Art,” “TV Garden” and more.
