Virtual K-pop Group Isegye Idol Releases New Single 'Misty Rainbow'

SEOUL, April 25 (Yonhap) -- Six-member virtual girl group Isegye Idol is set to release their fourth single, Misty Rainbow, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, according to distributor KT Genie Music.

 

This marks the group’s first official single in two years since their 2023 release KIDDING. Misty Rainbow is a lively rock track featuring band sounds and conveys a message of encouragement from the members.

Formed in 2021, Isegye Idol consists of Ain, Jingburger, Lilpa, Jururu, Gosegu, and Viichan. The group has established itself as a leading virtual idol act in Korea. Previous songs like Winter Spring, LOCK DOWN, and KIDDING have performed strongly on domestic music charts.

 

Beyond music, Isegye Idol has inspired webtoons such as Magical Girl Isegye Idol and Isegye Idol: Across Dimensions, which have surpassed 10 million cumulative views. Related crowdfunding projects have raised nearly 8.8 billion won (approx. $6.3 million), setting a record in Korean crowdfunding history.

 

 

The group will also perform on the second day of the Isegye Festival 2025, to be held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul from May 16–17.
