SEOUL, December 1 (Yonhap) -- Group BTS ranked fifth on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, as this year's global artist people streamed the most.
Spotify released their "Wrapped" data which analyzed users' music consumption during 2022 on Thursday.
BTS ranked fifth as the most streamed global artist coming after Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, Drake, and The Weeknd according to the data.
BTS entered this top 10 chart for three consecutive years, ranking sixth in 2020 and third in 2021.
BTS had the most streams among K-pop artists, and BLACKPINK, TWICE, Stray Kids, SEVENTEEN came up after BTS.
Six solo tracks of BTS members were also recorded in the top 10 most streamed K-pop songs.
"Dynamite" and "Butter" ranked first and second, respectively, while "Yet To Come" ranked fifth, V's solo song "Christmas Tree" ranked eighth, "Permission to Dance" ranked ninth, and "With You" featuring Jimin, ranked tenth.
"With You," sung by Jimin and Ha Sung-woon, was loved by many as the original soundtrack (OST) of tvN's drama "Our Blues."
In addition to BTS, BLACKPINK's name was easily found in the top 10 most streamed K-pop songs.
BLACKPINK's "Pink Venom" and "Shut Down" ranked third and seventh, respectively, and Lisa's "MONEY" ranked fourth.
IVE's "LOVE DIVE," which ranked sixth, was the only song that BTS and BLACKPINK members did not participate in, which made it to the top 10 most streamed K-pop songs.
The growth of K-pop was proved through this most streamed music chart.
The 10 most streamed K-pop artists' on Spotify have more than 16.5 billion streams. This is an increase of about 20% from 13.7 billion streams tallied last year.
