SEOUL, Nov. 20 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy band A.C.E is set to release their third single album, "PINATA," at 6 p.m., its agency said on Wednesday.
The album marks A.C.E's first release since completing their military service hiatus and their first as a full group in over three years.
The album's title -- inspired by the traditional piñata used in children's celebrations in the U.S. and Latin America -- has been reinterpreted to symbolize the sealing away of negative emotions and sensations such as sorrow and pain.
In their storyline, A.C.E takes on the role of rebels seeking to restore emotional freedom in a controlled world. November 20 is envisioned as a "day of liberation," when PINATA bursts open, releasing its contents to the world.
The title track, "PINATA," draws inspiration from Christopher Nolan's film Tenet and delivers a grand, cinematic experience akin to a blockbuster movie. The vocals of A.C.E's five members blend seamlessly with layered distortion bass and diverse sound elements to create a powerful, multidimensional soundscape. Member Park Jun-hee participated in writing the lyrics.
The album includes four tracks: the Mozart Requiem-inspired Intro: Recuerda, recuerda, the English version of PINATA mixed with added intensity, and an instrumental version of the title track.
