SEOUL, June 9 (Yonhap) -- The Cultural Heritage Administration Royal Palaces and Tombs Center, will be holding various cultural events under the theme of hanbok (Korean traditional clothes) from the 11th till the 18th in the area of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Seolleung Jaesil and the forest path in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Performances dealing with hanbok in old paintings, lectures and exhibitions of illustrator Heukyoseok, a time to chat with Kim Hye-sun, the master of hanbok will be held.
Experience events including making beoseon (pair of the Korean traditional socks worn with hanbok for protection, warmth, and style) ornaments and coloring postcards, as well as an explanation program for Seolleung and Jeongneung will be operated.
