SEOUL, July 15 (Yonhap) -- Amid the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus, Kim Yo-han, a former volleyball player who has also been active in various entertainment programs, has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

After Kim Yo-han felt some symptoms in his body on Wednesday, he was tested positive for the coronavirus and is currently being treated after going into self-quarantine, according to broadcasters on Thursday.

Kim Yo-han retired from the volleyball courts in 2019 and has been working as a director of a game company while often appearing on TV programs.

Recently, Kim appeared on JTBC's "We Kick Together," E channel's "Playing Bros (tentative title)," and IHQ's "Leader's Love (tentative)."

"The rest of the cast members are also being examined. The filming schedule will be sorted out once the results come out," said the production team from "Leader's Love."

Lee Sang-gon from the vocal group Noel was also confirmed to be diagnosed with COVID-19 after performing in a play with a fellow actor who had contracted the virus.

Lee Sang-gon was classified as a close contact after performing with his counterpart in the play "Love is Timing" on June 25, according to Lee's agency C-JeS Entertainment.

C-JeS Entertainment said, "Lee Sang-gon will suspend all schedules and follow the health authorities' guidelines. Any family member, staff or employees who have overlapping or had contact with the singer will also be tested as soon as possible."
