SEOUL, Nov. 15 (Yonhap) -- Sunwoo of The Boyz was assaulted by an intruder at his residence, the K-pop boy group's agency revealed on Friday.

IST Entertainment stated in a post on The Boyz's official fan cafe that on Nov. 9, Sunwoo apprehended the intruder, who had been hiding in the group's residence, along with a staff member before handing them over to the police.

During this process, Sunwoo was struck multiple times.

IST Entertainment described the incident, stating, "Sunwoo had just finished his schedule and was entering the elevator to his residence. As he opened the front door, an individual hiding in the emergency stairwell approached him."

The suspect was caught red-handed and is now under investigation for charges of residential trespassing and assault. Sunwoo sustained multiple abrasions but is reportedly able to continue his activities without interruption.

The agency also reported other illegal activities, such as the placement of a GPS tracker on The Boyz’s vehicle and tire damage, which were reported to the police.

IST Entertainment strongly condemned such actions, warning, "The members and their acquaintances have suffered significant harm due to unauthorized visits to private spaces, the spread of malicious rumors, vehicle tracking, and illegal acquisition of personal information. We are responding with a zero-tolerance policy and taking definitive legal action against such privacy invasions and unlawful conduct."

OneHundred stated, "We are excited to embark on a new chapter with The Boyz, who demonstrate exceptional teamwork. We will spare no effort to support the group’s activities and each member’s individual endeavors."

The Boyz will officially begin their activities under OneHundred in mid-December, coinciding with the group’s 7th debut anniversary. The group first debuted in 2017.

OneHundred, co-founded by MC Mong and Ja-gawon, chairman of Piack Group, officially launched last year.
