SEOUL November 06 (Yonhap) -- Gimhae Astronomical Observatory located in South Gyeongsang province will be hosting a special observation event on November 8, addressed the facility on Tuesday.
Gimhae Astronomical Observatory will be observing lunar eclipse in total of three times that night starting at 6 p.m. shortly after at 7, and 8 p.m. at night, and will elaborate on the subject of lunar eclipse in general.
Lunar eclipse happens when the moon moves into the shadow casted by the Earth.
The phenomenon happens only when the Earth, Sun and the moon is lined perfectly.
Lunar Eclipse of 2022, will happen on November 8 starting at 6:08 p.m. and continue on until 10:57 p.m.
It is expected to reach its peak at 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. which will showcase the moment where Earth, Sun and the Moon are perfectly aligned with one another.
Next upcoming lunar eclipse will be on May 14 of 2025, which is in over 2 years.
Admission to the special observation event will be 7000 won and reservation will be available through the official webpage of Gimhae Astronomical Observatory.
