CHEORWON, Jan. 19 (Yonhap) – Cheorwon in Gangwon province, which includes DMZ that symbolizes the division of South and North Korea, is a paradise for migrating birds. Migrating birds, such as whooper swans and red-crowned cranes that show off their grace in winter, visit the place. In Dongsong-eup “Cheorwon Migratory Bird Habitat,” a flock of whooper swans, which play in Hantan River that flows even in -15℃, is easily found.
The scenery of snow-capped Hantan River and a flock of whooper swans looks like a black-and-white photograph or an ink wash painting.
