SEOUL, Dec. 18 (Yonhap) -- Park Se-eun danseuse étoile of Paris Opera Ballet, New York Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and London Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Lotte Concert Hall in 2022.
The Lotte Concert Hall’s 2022 performance schedule which will be filled with global orchestras and artists’ stages was released on the 18th.
Especially the “World Class Concert Series” performed by soloist, orchestra and the finest conductor is the most noteworthy.
“Jonas Kaufmann Recital & Opera Concert” will open the series on May 31st and on June 3rd. Kaufmann, known as “the best tenor on Earth,” will present a wide musical spectrum through recital and opera gala concert.
On June 21st to 22nd, Metropolitan Orchestra, in charge of the world’s top opera theater New York Metropolitan Opera’s stages, will hold their first performance in Korea. Music director Yannick Nézet-Séguin and mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato will present a perfect ensemble.
Metropolitan Opera’s finest prima donna Joyce DiDonato will show colorful repertory that covers Baroque and the 20th century on Sep. 4th.
World top ballet, Paris Opera Ballet’s Etoile (star dancer) Park Se-eun will present a delicate and elegant performance with etoiles who will come to Korea together for “Paris Opera Ballet, 2022 Etoile Gala” on July 28th~29th.
London Symphony led by maestro Simon Rattle and Cho Seong-jin will decorate the finale with a heart-touching play.
Chamber series and organ recital will be prepared as well. Vienna Cello Ensemble (May 2nd) that exerts shocking performance and exquisite chemi will visit Korea once again. Cellist Yang Sung-won and pianist Enrico Pace will meet the audiences with Beethoven's Cello Sonata.
“Vision String Quartet” (Oct. 29) will stage it first performance in Korea. Organ recitals of David Titterington (May 10th) and Michel Bouvard (Nov. 30th) will take place as well.
Cellist Mun Taeguk and pianist Shin Chang-yong selected as “In House Artist” will each have 2 stages.
Also, “Kongsuni and Friends’ Music Adventure” (translated) (May 5th), classic music festival “2022 Classic Revolution, Mendelssohn & Korngold” (Aug. 12th~21st), “Chung Myung-whun& One Korea Orchestra” (Oct. 5th) and “2022 LOTTE Concert Hall Year End Concert” (Dec. 30th~31st) will take place as well.
