SEOUL, Aug. 5 (Yonhap) -- JYP Entertainment announced on the 5th that it is launching a new subsidiary, Innit Entertainment, dedicated to nurturing singers, actors, and entertainers.
Utilizing JYP's expertise, which has produced successful acts such as 2PM, TWICE, and Stray Kids, Innit plans to introduce talent across various genres including K-pop, ballads, trot, and R&B.
The name 'Innit' is a contraction of the English phrase 'isn't it,' commonly used to seek agreement or emphasize a point, reflecting the company's focus on communication and its mission to deliver joy, comfort, and inspiration through its content.
Innit Entertainment's first project will involve managing talents discovered through the upcoming KBS audition program 'The Ddan Ddara,' a new initiative produced by JYP's Park Jin-young in collaboration with KBS.
Park Nam-yong, head of JYP Performance Directing Lab, and Yoon Jae-ho, head of JYP Advertising Business Department, have been appointed as co-CEOs of Innit Entertainment. Park has directed choreography and stage performances for JYP artists for over 20 years, while Yoon has handled trainee development and marketing at JYP for 19 years.
JYP stated, "The establishment of Innit Entertainment will strengthen our capabilities as a comprehensive entertainment company, enhance our competitiveness in the entertainment industry, and solidify our position."
