SEOUL, Oct. 24 (Yonhap) -- "Black Adam," starring Dwayne Johnson, has topped Korean box office, leading the weekend theater.
according to the data by Nielson Korea on Monday, "Black Adam" which topped the domestic box office with its release on Oct. 19, has maintained its top position by garnarning around 310,000 audiences on last weekend. The share of sales in the weekend was 47.0%.
"Black Adam" is a new hero movie rom DC Extended Universe. The movie revolves around Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson), who was bestowed the almighty powers of the god from being a slave in the ancient city Kandak, fighting against villans after 5,000 years.
"Confidential Assignment 2: International" placed third with 70,000 audiences. Its cumulative audiences now totals at 6.89 million.
The science-fiction "Everything Everywhere All At Once" starring Michelle Yeoh and the horror movie "Orphan: First Kill," both released last week, each placed fourth and fifth with around 5,000 people.
Animation movie "Crayon Shin-chan: Shrouded in Mystery!" placed fourth, while "Everything Everywhere All At Once" starring Michelle Yeoh ranked fifth.
