SEOUL, Sept.29 (Yonhap) -- Comedy movie "Honest Candidate 2" starring Ra Mi-ran topped the box office on the first day of its release.
According to the integrated network of movie tickets by the Korean Film Council on Thursday, the movie mobilized 72,000 spectators (29.9% share of sales) on the day before the opening day, surpassing "Confidential Assignment 2" (66,000 people, 27.2%) and placing No.1.
As of Wednesday, five films including 'Honest Candidate 2'which debuted that day ranked in the top 10 of daily box office.
Musical film "Life is Beautiful," starring Jung-ah Yeom and Seung-ryong Ryu, debuted in third place with 45,000 people (18.6%), and the animation movie "Crayon Shin-chan: Shrouded in Mystery! The Flowers of Tenkazu Academy " and "Hello Carbot: The Secret of the Suspicious Magic Troupe" ranked 4th and 6th, respectively.
Documentary film "Sungdeok," which tells the story of fans who experienced the failure of their favorite celebrity ranked 10th.
