Audition begins to find next global girl group following 'KATSEYE'

SEOUL, Aug. 7 (Yonhap) -- HYBE and Geffen Records will hold auditions to find the next global girl group to follow in the footsteps of KATSEYE, a joint US-Korea project.

The companies announced on Thursday that the launch of a large-scale audition titled “World Scout: The Final Piece” across Japan.

This project will be led directly by HYBE’s scouting team, who will select candidates to undergo K-pop-style training between October and December before joining a training camp in the US. Final members will be selected through a competition process, aiming for debut next year.

The audition process will be broadcast in the spring of 2026 on Japanese streaming platform ABEMA.
